New Age Design Studio was founded in 2017 by Sasha Burchuk after she spent a year and a half rehabilitating a dilapidated A-frame in the Mt. Hood National Forest. By applying her past work in user experience design to interior architecture, Sasha realized that she had an intuitive drive and passion for creating well thought out environments that support every day life.
In between interior design projects, she developed a furniture line to explore new materials and methods of fabrication and entertain herself. The product line has now become her main focus.
The aesthetic of New Age Design Studio is informed by her appreciation for experimental 1970s and 1980s design as well as her years abroad as a foreign exchange student in Mexico where she studied and observed many Mexican Modernist structures.
New Age Design Studio's mission is to make the world a more exotic place by creating fun and daring functional objects and spaces designed around every day human needs.
New Age Design Studio has exhibited at Open Haus Portland and IDS Vancouver and appeared in Domino, Gray Magazine, Architectural Digest, Design Milk, The Glossary, and Portland Monthly's Design Annual. Domino named us one of the 16 up-and-coming designers to watch this year.
